Verdeca Valle d’Itria I.G.P.

In the Valle d’Itria, the ever-present green of the landscape slopes down towards the sea, where it transforms into emerald and kisses the seabed and cliffs. This bottle is our artistic tribute to the nature of Puglia.

Grape variety: 100% Verdeca.
Tasting notes: Brilliant straw yellow with delicate greenish hues.

On the nose, the aromatic profile recalls green apple, loquat and pear; these are followed by notes of bergamot, lychee and pineapple, leading to pleasant floral aromas of elderflower and hawthorn.

There is also a herbal note of rosemary and sage, followed by a subtly almond-like finish.

On the palate, it is very delicate, smooth and citrusy. A vibrant freshness stands out, well balanced by a karst-mineral note. The wine develops dynamically and with a juicy texture on the palate, finishing with a slightly savoury note.

During alcoholic fermentation, the grapes also undergo maceration on their skins. The skins are then punched down to ensure proper fermentation and extraction of the organic compounds from the skins, which are essential both to the aromatic profile of the wines and to their ageing.
